The M&A Analyst (Strategic Advisory) role

Analysts work in small teams alongside partners on M&A, shareholder advisory, restructuring, capital markets and private capital mandates, doing financial modeling, industry analysis, diligence and client-meeting prep. Evercore pitches faster advancement and more responsibility than a bulge bracket and describes an apprenticeship model. Hiring is group by group, so you choose your coverage group and office at application.

Group-specific: each of the 17 US 2028 summer analyst reqs is its own group and office, candidates apply to at most two, the summer is 10 weeks with an internal training program, and the full-time analyst program is two years; class size is not published.

Worth knowing: Evercore moved its 2028 summer analyst window to September 9–November 15, 2026, about four months earlier than last cycle’s January window — and its 2028 posting says applications will not be reviewed on a rolling basis, where the 2027 posting said they would.
