Technical Program Manager Interview Experience
Interview process
Smooth and well organized. I had a recruiter screen, a phone interview with a TPM covering Leadership Principles and technical scenarios, and clear communication on next steps throughout.

Interview tips
I'd tell them to prepare 6 to 8 STAR stories tied to Amazon's Leadership Principles, with real metrics and a clear 'I' focus on their own actions. I'd also have them brush up on system design basics (APIs, databases, queues, scalability, tradeoffs) and practice thinking out loud, starting by clarifying requirements. Finally, I'd say to research Amazon's Leadership Principles and be ready for deep follow-up questions on every story.
Company culture
The strong emphasis on Leadership Principles stood out. Every question tied back to ownership, data-driven decisions, and customer obsession, so it was clear these values shape how the team actually works.
