IBMProduct Manager · Intern“Was pretty straightforward, make sure to have strong STAR/CAR responses and understanding of basic product sense ”
IBMProduct Manager · Intern“I got fast-tracked to the final round. So I can't really speak to the standardized experience. But the interviewer was very nice.”
IBMSoftware Engineer · L3“The interview process was well-structured and transparent, spanning an online test, two technical rounds, and an HR discussion. The interviewers were approachable and gave me time to think through problems rather than rushing me. I appreciated the logical progression from aptitude to coding to design concepts. What went well was the technical discussion — I was able to clearly explain my project work and core CS concepts. What could have gone better was my initial nervousness during the first technical round, which slowed me down on a question I actually knew well. Overall, it was a positive and fair experience. ”
IBMSoftware Engineer · Intern“The process was very smotth and the interviewer manager was very kind and helpful. The role was on Natural Language processing and IBM Watson Analytics. So the interviewer would like to know more about the native language knowledge of the candidates.”
IBMSoftware Engineer“The process was very quick and I met so many people throughout- The Assessment day was very demanding because it was 4 hours interview- It was mostly behavioural questions, then an exercise with other candidates and then lastly technical interview.”
IBMProduct Manager“The interview was structured around product sense and feature-design questions, with a strong emphasis on identifying the user problem, prioritizing a target audience, designing a solution, and thinking through metrics and tradeoffs. The conversation felt fairly interactive, and I had opportunities to explain my reasoning rather than just give a final answer. What went well was being able to structure ambiguous problems and connect solutions back to user needs. The harder part was balancing depth with time, especially when there were several possible directions worth exploring. ”

AnthropicSoftware Engineer, Safeguards · L5“The weirdest Anthropic round was the company values interview. It was almost like a therapy session, and honestly if you went to a therapist at some point, you will pass that round much more easily.”
NetflixEngineering Manager, Tooling“What was very unusual is they didn’t give me any tooling to draw the system design, so I just sketched it on a piece of paper and talked them through it, then we got into this oddly deep debate about whether hover-over history should count as a recommendation signal.”
