“Overall process is good, recruiter moves fast, interviewer is collaborative. The expectation for coding round is high - aim for optimal and bug-free solution. ”
“Overall, the interview went well, especially considering that it was my first real technical interview. I was able to answer most of the personal and technical questions confidently, and I explained my previous internship experience and my motivation for learning backend development. However, I found some parts challenging, especially the problem-solving question. I also felt a little nervous at the beginning, which made it harder to organize some of my answers. Looking back, I think I needed a little more time to prepare, especially for technical and problem-solving questions. Overall, it was a valuable experience, and I learned a lot from it.”

“Technical being able to use Generic types and useEffect cleanup in a live coding environment without any references”

“Very focused on the culture screening and "Why Anthropic," they pushed on this quite a bit. They really want to see that you have pre-sales experience as well, think I had more post sales experience and that was not as ideal for them.”

“It was very conversational. The recruiter call was pretty easy and direct. The next round was with two interviewers and I was given 45 minutes to dive deep into a technical challenge or program I solved or drove. It was very very conversational and while they probed it was not very adversarial”

“Easy enough. They go narrow and deep on the homework assignments. Answer the questions as is. Do not question the question. ”

“Warm people, you can google stuff but no AI. Interview questions are available online but not ditto, you'll see variations in the interview so be ready.”

“It was pretty easy, I broke down the funnel into small steps and then try to optimise for each step one by one by asking questions. But I haven't asked for the formula to define the process or metric they are trying to optimise which I realised mid interview but the interviewer was pretty sweet ”

“By far the most technically challenging interview process I've ever had to do for new grad product management roles. Successive coding questions in a constrained time block.”

“The weirdest Anthropic round was the company values interview. It was almost like a therapy session, and honestly if you went to a therapist at some point, you will pass that round much more easily.”

“What was very unusual is they didn’t give me any tooling to draw the system design, so I just sketched it on a piece of paper and talked them through it, then we got into this oddly deep debate about whether hover-over history should count as a recommendation signal.”
