“The interview was a standard FAANG type of interview, where the recruiter screen talked about resume and behavioral questions, and the first coding round was a non-AI traditional leetcode question.”

“The process consisted of multiple rigorous rounds and was quite challenging. It was particularly difficult because the questions required a high degree of on-the-spot problem-solving and thinking on your feet. While it was a great opportunity to showcase adaptability, the sheer number of rounds made it a grueling experience.”

“Very rigorous. Interviewers were in a rush. I believe it’s crucial to get a feel of what you should expect during the interview and what kinds of signals you need to give. So I strongly recommend scheduling mock interviews with peers or, much more preferably, actual google or Facebook employees. ”

“Was hard, and the interviewer tried to get me focused, but I was just too excited. They asked me to build a renters product with them, and the product strategy question just didn't go well. I mumbled, didn't lay out the paintings right, and got into my head. In the end, I couldn't really provide a solid answer and a correct template. ”

“The process was pretty rigorous, mainly because the bar at E6 felt more about scope and judgement than just solving the questions. Recruiter was clear and helpful. The coding rounds went ok, but I spent too long explaining some edge cases. Design was probably the strongest part, good back-and-forth and tradeoffs. Behavioral was fine, though I could’ve been more specific with impact numbers. Overall, a solid process but definitely tiring.”

“traditional interviews for MLE. coding rounds are AI-enabled meaning you can use claude or codex to write the code.”

“The interview went smoothly overall. 1 round of phone screen followed by the full loop of 4 rounds packed in a day. 2 coding 1 behavior 1 system design.”

“The process was smooth, general interview skills, prepare well to discuss you solution before coding / jumping to the optimized solution”

“The process was more rigorous than anything I’d done at other big tech companies, but the recruiter was accurate and helpful about what to prepare, which I really appreciated. A few things did catch me off guard: one round was more execution- and tradeoff-heavy than I expected, and the bar for structured, concise answers felt very high throughout. Overall, it was challenging but fair, and I came away with a positive impression of the process.”

“The weirdest Anthropic round was the company values interview. It was almost like a therapy session, and honestly if you went to a therapist at some point, you will pass that round much more easily.”

“What was very unusual is they didn’t give me any tooling to draw the system design, so I just sketched it on a piece of paper and talked them through it, then we got into this oddly deep debate about whether hover-over history should count as a recommendation signal.”
