“Very focused on the culture screening and "Why Anthropic," they pushed on this quite a bit. They really want to see that you have pre-sales experience as well, think I had more post sales experience and that was not as ideal for them.”

“The process is kind of cold. All tasks are performed on codesignal. You are basically do the assignment by yourself with the computer and camera on.”

“About Why Anthropic. They seem to really care. The recruiter seemed like they were really busy to even talk to me. They got interested after we started speaking. One question on how I handled low performers. I wish I had prepared for recruiter screen. I thought it would be generic, but it was what decided the HM next round.”

“The interview process went well. The recruiter was very responsive and supportive throughout the process. Had a recruiter screening call and an HM call. I am pretty sure that the HM did not like my profile, or there was no fit for the role.”

“Some of the interviews are very formulaic. When they ask about management experience they first start by asking what is the largest org you've managed, and then all following questions are about that org. The largest org I had managed was at a bank which doesn't have the greatest parallels to draw from. If I had better understood the format I would have answered with the bank, but explicitly stated that it's not a good analogy lets talk about this slightly smaller org because it's closer to you guys. Instead, this conversation happened at the end.”

“While the process is relatively demanding, it can be completed rapidly, with a significant emphasis placed on cultural alignment and core values.”

“The process was structured, thoughtful, and generally well run. The interviews felt focused on practical judgment, problem-solving, communication, and how I approach ambiguous technical and product situations. I appreciated that the conversations were substantive rather than purely checklist-based. What went well was that I felt able to draw on real examples from my past work, especially around leading technical projects, working with customers, and making tradeoffs under uncertainty. The interviewers were engaged and asked good follow-ups, which made the discussions feel collaborative. What was harder was that some parts required being very concise while still giving enough technical depth. In a few moments, I probably could have structured my answers more clearly upfront before going into details.”

“Overall the interview process was quite quick but also didn't feel very robust as I was expecting for this type of company! I think I failed one of the later technical rounds in the onsite.”
