“The overall process was quite slow and took longer than expected. The timeline seemed to depend largely on the interviewer, as the scheduling and progress varied based on their availability. There were also some delays between the different stages of the process, which made it feel less streamlined. Overall, the experience could have been more efficient if the communication and scheduling had been more consistent.”

“The process was fairly simple, online assessment with 2 coding questions and then multiple choice leadership principles questions (choose the right action for the given scenario). Then around a month later I received an interview invitation for 2 interviews, 1 hour each which consisted of about 40 mins of live coding and 20 mins of CV and competency questions, including AI usage, leadership, teamwork and project deep dives.”

“They care about their leadership principles. Focus on behavioral around these core tenets. I think that Amazon is adding more AI in their OA process, so would prepare for that.”

“It went really well, they were trying to confirm whether I actually solved the assessment on my own and understood my solution.”

“Interviewers were supporting, he was happy to repeat/rephase questions. Some of the questions I was blank even the question was super easy but I was not able to answer”

“The process was pretty standard, focused on Amazon leadership principles. Look up Exponent videos on how to answer behavioral questions.”

“What went well: interesting questions, everybody kind and smart. What didn't go well: I should have prepared more to tell about business impact.”

“The process was straightforward and detailed. All communications were done promptly and I was notified of every stage.”

“✅ It felt tough Most candidates who do well say the loop was challenging. Amazon intentionally pushes beyond your comfort zone to see how you think, not just what you know. ✅ Multiple rounds in one day is mentally exhausting By Round 3 or 4, even strong candidates start feeling tired and become more self-critical. ✅ Technical + Bar Raiser The Bar Raiser round is designed to be harder. They often: Dig deeper into your stories Challenge assumptions Ask follow-up questions repeatedly Look for ownership, tradeoffs, and decision making Test areas outside your immediate expertise So feeling that the BR round was harder does not necessarily mean it went badly.”

“The weirdest Anthropic round was the company values interview. It was almost like a therapy session, and honestly if you went to a therapist at some point, you will pass that round much more easily.”

“What was very unusual is they didn’t give me any tooling to draw the system design, so I just sketched it on a piece of paper and talked them through it, then we got into this oddly deep debate about whether hover-over history should count as a recommendation signal.”
