Photomask Fab Support Engineering Intern Interview Experience
Only my supervisor had their camera on, and like two people in the panel did not even speak the whole time, so it actually made the interview way less scary than I expected.
Interview process
I got in through a campus recruiter connection, and once I saw her again at the engineering career fair, it moved really fast. She sent my resume to the hiring manager for two reqs, I got the Zoom link that same weekend, and then a few days after the interview they called and said I got it. My whole process was just one round, which surprised me because I know other interns who had at least two. That one round was a Zoom panel. Only my supervisor had their camera on, and a couple people did not speak the whole time.

Overview
I first met a recruiter through a campus STEM event, then saw her again at my school's engineering career fair, and she told me to hand over my resume again so she could send it to the hiring manager for two reqs.

My only interview was a scheduled Zoom panel with the team. It felt more structured than a walk-up career fair interview because it had a set time and link, but it honestly was not that scary. Only my supervisor had their camera on, and a couple people did not speak the whole time, so the panel felt lower pressure than I expected.

Interview tips
I knew it was going to be a panel, so I prepared a lot for them. I looked each person up beforehand, where they had worked, what their role was, and how they functioned within the team and that unit. The actual questions were pretty standard, so I would have clean stories ready for a workplace challenge, correcting somebody when you are not in charge of them, and how your leadership experience carries over. I would also make sure you can explain what a photomask fab support engineer does and why Micron is the place you want to do it.
Company culture
What stood out to me was how seamless the recruiter side was. The first recruiter was amazing, and the second one who set up the interview was really nice too. I even messaged right before the interview asking for advice, and she was super sweet about it. So I left with a really good impression of the process, even if I did not really get a deep read on the team itself from that one panel.
