Product Manager Interview Experience
The one that got me was Meta Pay. I had prepped for it like a monetization strategy topic, and then the part I remember was them asking what metrics I would use to evaluate its success.
Interview process
I went through three interviews: product sense, analytics and execution, and leadership and drive. Nothing about the process really surprised me because it followed the standard Meta PM setup I expected. The questions were challenging, but they still felt in-bounds for the role. This was the only FAANG product management process I've been through, so I was mostly comparing it to what I had heard Meta usually does.

The analytics and execution round was the one that stood out because they asked about Meta Pay, and that was the area where I felt less comfortable.

Specific questions asked
I had kind of prepped for Meta Pay around monetization strategies, but I wasn't as familiar with those approaches as I wanted to be. That made this one tougher for me, and it's the question I remember as the one that really tested me.

Overview
The last round was leadership and drive, which was part of a pretty straightforward three-interview loop.

Interview tips
I would prep monetization and metrics harder than I did, especially for products like Meta Pay. The one that stuck with me was a Meta Pay question because I had prepared for that area more as a monetization strategy topic, and the version I remember was really about how to measure success.
Company culture
Everybody I talked to came off really passionate and smart, like people who had cleared a pretty rigorous bar to get in. The AI focus also felt very obvious. It seemed like everybody was on the same page that AI is a huge priority right now.

“I basically felt like a guinea pig because Meta had just rolled out the AI PM round, and after I vibe coded a volunteering app in Llama the interviewer started grilling me on token usage, latency, and retrieval.”

“Meta interviews are extremely structured, with very little small talk. The questions can sound simple, but they’re actively looking for signals and they expect a detailed, end-to-end solution.”
