Management Consultant Interview Experience
Interview process
The process was very straightforward. I applied through a campus recruiter and my first interview was behavioral. Tell me about a time when... type questions. My second interview was more technical with a manger and they asked questions about data warehousing, and had me write out some SQL queries, and also solve a pretty easy problem with python.

Interview tips
Brush up on basic SQL queries, python basics, and high level data warehouse concepts. Also for behavioral questions, practice answering using the STAR method.
Company culture
Overall, it was pretty laid back. If you have a basic understanding of college level concepts, you should be good.

“The interviewers were all patient and supportive. But the compensation and its structure were anti-employee.”

“The process was structured and fairly rigorous, with a good mix of behavioral questions and case-based problem solving. The recruiter was clear about what to expect and provided helpful guidance on how to prepare. I appreciated that the interviewers were engaged and gave me room to explain my thinking rather than focusing only on the final answer. The main challenge was the pace of some of the case discussions, where there was limited time to structure the problem and work through the analysis. Overall, though, the process felt organized and relevant to the work of a management consultant.”
