Software Engineer Interview Experience
Interview process
The overall process was quite slow and took longer than expected. The timeline seemed to depend largely on the interviewer, as the scheduling and progress varied based on their availability. There were also some delays between the different stages of the process, which made it feel less streamlined. Overall, the experience could have been more efficient if the communication and scheduling had been more consistent.

Interview tips
It would be helpful to focus more on strengthening your fundamentals and building a solid understanding of the basics. Regular practice with LeetCode problems can also improve your problem-solving skills, coding speed, and ability to approach different types of technical questions. Consistent practice, especially with common data structures and algorithms, will help build confidence and make you better prepared for technical interviews.
Company culture
They were moving through the discussion quite quickly, which made it challenging to fully explain their approach and thought process. However, the panel appeared to be evaluating the responses from a broader Amazon-level perspective, with expectations around depth of understanding, structured problem-solving, and consideration of scalability and real-world impact. Taking a bit more time to explain the reasoning and connect the solution to these broader considerations could make the overall response stronger.
