Deutsche Bank recruits [investment banking](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking) summer analysts into the only bulge bracket investment bank headquartered in the EU, and the process itself will look familiar to anyone preparing for a peer bank. The main differences are that technicals lean toward credit, financing, and rates, which is where the bank makes most of its money, and interviewers ask where standard valuation methods stop working, such as why a DCF or an EV/EBITDA multiple can't value a commercial bank. Those differences are where you should focus your prep. This guide explains each stage of the [interview process](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/investment-banking-intro/intro-to-ib-overview), what Deutsche Bank interviewers look for, and [how to prepare](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/ib-fast-track/introduction-to-investment-banking-interviews) with real example questions, actionable tips, and resources. ## Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst interview process The Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst interview process runs 4 stages, and it splits by region partway through: your location decides whether your first interview is recorded or live. Candidates in the UK and APAC record a video interview before reaching the final stage. Candidates in the US skip both the situational judgment test and the recorded round, moving straight to a live interview with the hiring division. Here's an example of what the interview process can look like: * **Application:** Online form and CV, reviewed on a rolling basis as submissions arrive * **Online assessments:** Situational judgment, behavioral, and ability tests within a week or two of applying * **Video interview or first-round interview:** Recorded responses in the UK and APAC, a 30-minute live interview in the US * **Assessment center:** 3 back-to-back interviews across a single day, covering competency, technicals, and a case study | Stage | US | UK and APAC | | ----- | ----- | ----- | | Situational judgment test | Not used | Included | | Behavioral and ability assessments | Included | Included | | First interview | Live virtual with the hiring division | Recorded video | | Final stage | Superday | Assessment center | The Deutsche Bank investment banking interview process varies by region and by division, and the stages below won't all appear in every candidate's loop. Use this guide as a baseline for prep, with the understanding that your loop may differ. ## Deutsche Bank IB summer analyst recruiting timeline Deutsche Bank opens summer analyst applications [about a year before the internship starts](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/investment-banking-intro/recruiting-overview-timeline) and reviews them as they arrive, so the biggest advantage in this process is available before you ever interview. Each division and city runs its own window, and the deadline that matters to you may sit weeks away from the one a classmate is working toward. ### Key application dates Deutsche Bank's published windows for the 2027 program: | Division and location | Application window | | ----- | ----- | | IBCM Coverage and Capital Markets, New York | 25 July to 19 August 2026 | | IBCM Coverage, Chicago, San Francisco, Jacksonville | 21 July to 31 August 2026 | | Fixed Income and Currencies, New York | 21 July to 15 September 2026 | | Commercial Real Estate and Company Research, New York | 21 July to 30 September 2026 | | Corporate Bank, New York | 1 September to 1 October 2026 | | Fixed Income and Currencies, London | 7 September to 4 October 2026 | | IBCM Coverage and Capital Markets, London | 7 September to 11 October 2026 | | Investment Bank, Singapore and Hong Kong | 27 July to 6 September 2026 | A separate US early recruitment window for fixed income and IBCM runs from 15 December 2026 to 16 January 2027, so a missed main window isn't always the end of the cycle. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Deutsche Bank has pulled postings before their stated deadline in past cycles and reopened them later, so submit within the first 2 weeks of a window opening and treat the posted deadline as a backstop. ### Interview process and response times * **Application to first contact:** Within days to 2 weeks, depending on region * **Application to interview invitation:** About 6 weeks, which is Deutsche Bank's own guidance * **Situational judgment test invitation to deadline:** 2 weeks to complete once invited * **First interview to assessment center invitation:** 4 days to 2 weeks * **Assessment center to outcome:** Within a week, though London has run to 2 or 3 weeks * **Offer to decision deadline:** 2 weeks to accept or decline End to end, expect about 3 weeks from application to offer in the US and 1 to 3 months in the UK. The gap comes from the extra assessment stages outside the US and from assessment center scheduling, which runs on a rolling basis in London. In the UK and APAC, the assessments and the recorded video interview often arrive together and can be completed in one sitting. Set aside an uninterrupted block once the invitation lands. ## Online assessments Deutsche Bank sends every investment banking summer analyst applicant who clears the CV screen a set of online assessments, delivered through SHL. The assessments include a situational judgment test, a behavioral questionnaire, and timed ability tests. The situational judgment test runs in every region except the US and India. Each scenario in the test puts you in a workplace situation with several defensible responses and asks you to rank them. The test itself is untimed, with a suggested completion time of about 20 minutes, but you have 2 weeks from the invitation to complete it. Deutsche Bank uses your rankings to check whether your judgment lines up with its own values. Read [Deutsche Bank's 6 values](https://developer.db.com/assets/data/Code_of_Conduct_EN.pdf) before the test: integrity, sustainable performance, client centricity, innovation, discipline, and partnership. The competency interview at the assessment center scores against the same values, so preparing once covers both. The behavioral questionnaire is a personality assessment covering your working style and preferences. It asks you to choose between statements about how you approach work, with no correct answer, and Deutsche Bank reads the profile against the same values the situational judgment test screens for. Ability tests cover numerical, verbal, and logical reasoning. Numerical sections draw on charts, tables, and financial data, so practice pulling a single figure out of a dense table and moving on without re-reading it. The ability tests are timed and allow roughly 90 seconds per question. Deutsche Bank evaluates: * **Situational judgment:** How you choose between competing demands in realistic workplace scenarios * **Behavioral preference:** Whether your described working style lines up with the bank's values * **Numerical reasoning:** Your accuracy pulling figures from charts and tables against a clock * **Verbal reasoning:** How precisely you interpret written information * **Logical reasoning:** Your ability to identify a pattern and extend it from incomplete information ## Video interview Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst candidates in the UK and APAC record a video interview in place of a live first-round screen. Questions are primarily [behavioral and motivational](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking#behaviorals), and sometimes include a commercial awareness question. You see each question, get 2 minutes to prepare, then 2 minutes to record. Sets can run anywhere from 3 to 8 questions, and you get one attempt per question with no re-records. [Build every answer to fit that window](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/behaviorals/structure-answers-story-bank). Give the situation 20 seconds, spend the middle on what you did, and finish on a result, since the recording stops whether or not you've reached your point. Use the preparation time to build a 3-point outline you can speak from. Practice on a timer beforehand so you know what 2 minutes of your own speaking feels like without a clock in view. Bankers review the recordings in batches after the window closes. Deutsche Bank asks candidates to answer without AI assistance and screens for authenticity, so answer in your own words and name specifics only you could name. Interviewers look for: * **Motivation for the firm:** Whether you can name something specific to Deutsche Bank rather than to investment banking generally * **Motivation for the division:** How clearly you connect your background to the work summer analysts do * **Structure inside a time limit:** Whether you reach a complete answer before the recording window closes * **Commercial awareness:** How closely you follow markets and transactions outside coursework * **Delivery without a partner:** Your pace, eye contact, and energy when nobody reacts to what you say ### Recently asked questions Here are real, recent interview questions reported by candidates: * [Tell me about yourself](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/behaviorals/tell-me-about-yourself). * [Why Deutsche Bank?](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/behaviorals/why-this-firm) * What's a situation in which you worked in a team? * Tell me about [something in the news](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/behaviorals/tell-me-about-a-market-trend) that you find interesting. * How do you prioritize tasks? * What are you expecting to learn from this internship? Practice your answers out loud against the full set of [Deutsche Bank investment banking interview questions](https://www.aced.io/questions?company=deutsche-bank&role=investment-banking) before you record. The behavioral prompts repeat across cycles, so the stories you build now carry through to the competency interview at the assessment center. ## First-round interview Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst candidates in the US take a live 30-minute first-round interview in place of the recorded video round. Your interviewer is usually an analyst, associate, or VP from the hiring division. Scheduling can be less predictable than a booked assessment day. Some candidates receive a calendar invite from a hiring manager, and others get an unannounced call from a first-year analyst, so keep your resume and your core stories within reach once applications close. The interviewer covers [your resume](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/investment-banking-networking/building-your-resume) line by line, then moves to motivation, a market or macro question, and light technical coverage. Technicals stay close to [core valuation and accounting](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/investment-banking-intro/top-10-technical-questions) at this stage, since the assessment center carries the harder material. Prepare a 90-second resume walk-through that ends on why you want investment banking. Most first-round conversations open there, and a walk-through that arrives at your motivation answers the next question before it's asked. Interviewers look for: * **Resume command:** Whether you can explain every line of your resume without pausing to reconstruct it * **Motivation:** How specifically you tie Deutsche Bank's business to your own interests * **Market awareness:** Your read on the macro conditions shaping M\&A and financing activity * **Technical baseline:** Whether core valuation and accounting concepts come out clean under mild time pressure * **Communication:** How concisely you answer before adding supporting detail ### Recently asked questions Motivation comes before technical coverage in this round, and ["Why investment banking?"](https://www.aced.io/blog/why-investment-banking-interview-question) is a common question. A strong answer ties one specific experience to the work analysts do daily, and it holds up when the interviewer asks why you chose banking when consulting or corporate finance would use the same skills. "Why this division specifically" comes up often enough to prepare separately, since a strong answer for origination and advisory looks nothing like a strong answer for fixed income. Fixed income candidates have also been asked to explain the difference between sales and trading and restructuring, and to discuss macro conditions affecting M\&A activity. Build out the rest of your prep from the [investment banking question bank](https://www.aced.io/questions?role=investment-banking). ## Assessment center (Superday) The Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst assessment center is the final stage, and the US calls the same stage a Superday. In London it runs as 3 interviews of roughly 45 minutes each across a single day: a competency interview, a technical interview, and a case study. US Superdays have run longer, with [3 to 6 back-to-back interviews](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/investment-banking-full-mocks/jp-morgan-superday-mock) of 30 to 45 minutes each, and some run virtually. Interviewers range from analysts to managing directors, and components shift by division, so read your invitation for the day's structure before you prepare. Expect the same ground covered more than once across the day. [Interviewers compare notes afterward](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/investment-banking-intro/interview-psychology), so keep each example consistent in its detail and its outcome from one conversation to the next. Gaps between interviews are short. Decide in advance which examples you'll draw from, so each conversation starts from a story you've already chosen. Outcomes typically arrive within a week, and candidates who receive an offer get 2 weeks to decide. Deutsche Bank also sends a feedback report after its assessments, so an unsuccessful application still tells you what to work on before the next cycle. Interviewers look for: * **Consistency across interviewers:** Whether the same story holds its detail when different interviewers ask about it from different angles * **Range across examples:** Whether you draw on different situations across each interview * **Response to pressure:** What you do when an interviewer pushes back on an answer you've already given * **Endurance:** How your energy and precision hold across a full day of interviews * **Fit across levels:** How your delivery adjusts between an analyst and a managing director ## Competency interview Deutsche Bank's investment banking summer analyst competency interview is built on the bank's values, and runs roughly 45 minutes inside the assessment center (Superday). Deutsche Bank asks candidates to [answer in STAR format](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/ib-fast-track/top-behavioral-investment-banking-interview-questions), so structure each example as situation, task, action, and result. Expect follow-up questions on the action step, and answer them in the first person: what you decided, what you did, and what you handled yourself. Coursework, society leadership, and prior internships all work as source material. Attach a number to the result on every example. A story that ends with "the project went well" gives the interviewer nothing to score, while one that ends with a figure gives them something to ask about. Client centricity is the value that catches summer analyst candidates most often, since student examples rarely involve a paying client. A tutoring student, a society sponsor, or a team that depended on your output all count, as long as you frame the decision around what that person needed. Interviewers look for: * **Values alignment:** How directly your examples map to Deutsche Bank's values * **Ownership:** How clearly you separate your own contribution from what your team delivered * **Client instinct:** Whether you frame decisions around what someone else needed * **Judgment under constraint:** How you chose when time, information, or people were short * **Reflection:** What you'd do differently, answered with specifics ### Recently asked questions Prompts follow Deutsche Bank's competency framework, so build one example against each of the values and expect follow-ups that focus on your specific contribution. Questions cover teamwork, prioritizing competing demands, and what you want from the internship, and the stories you prepared for the recorded round carry straight into this one. ## Technical interview Deutsche Bank's investment banking summer analyst technical interview sits inside the assessment center (or Superday) and tests [valuation](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/valuation/introduction-to-valuation) on 2 levels: standard walk-throughs, then reasoning about where those methods stop working. Accounting questions and quantitative puzzles fill out the round. Bank and financial institution valuation comes up more here than in a generic technical screen, which reflects a firm whose largest business is financing and rates. Be ready to explain why a DCF and an [EV/EBITDA multiple](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/enterprise-value-and-equity-value/enterprise-value-vs-equity-value) both fail on a commercial bank: * Interest income is core revenue rather than a financing cost * Operating and financing cash flows can't be cleanly separated * EBITDA carries no meaning for a business whose product is money Name the alternatives in the same answer, before the interviewer asks for them. Dividend discount, price-to-book, and price-to-tangible-book are the methods that apply to a bank, and price-to-tangible-book is the one to lead with for a bank that's made acquisitions, since it strips out goodwill. Interest rate sensitivity is the second recurring theme, and it's the one where Deutsche Bank's own business shows through. Trace a rate move end to end: a higher risk-free rate lifts the cost of equity, which lifts WACC, which compresses present value and terminal value together. Add the second-order effect when you have room. Higher rates also raise borrowing costs and slow the growth assumptions feeding the forecast, so the discount rate and the cash flows move against you at the same time. A 10% change in WACC moves a DCF output more than a 10% change in revenue growth, because terminal value carries most of the valuation and the discount rate drives terminal value. Say the reasoning in that order, since the ranking on its own doesn't show that you understand *why*. Mechanical questions appear alongside the conceptual ones, so expect [three-statement](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/accounting/walk-me-through-the-three-statements) tracing, working capital and lease treatment, sum-of-the-parts with a conglomerate discount, and [accretion and dilution](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/mergers-and-acquisitions/accretion-and-dilution) questions on debt-funded buybacks. Lead every technical answer by naming the framework, then run the mechanics. Open with "You'd use a sum-of-the-parts here, because the segments trade at different multiples," then walk through the steps once the interviewer knows where you're headed. Brain teasers are the hardest part of this round for most candidates, and mental math comes up across the assessment center. Practice reasoning through a probability question out loud without a calculator, and narrate each step so an interviewer can follow your logic even if you land on the wrong number. Interviewers look for: * **Method limits:** Whether you can explain why a valuation approach breaks on a specific business * **Sensitivity reasoning:** How you rank which input moves a valuation output the most, and why * **Rate awareness:** Your understanding of how a rate move travels through the cost of capital * **Accounting fluency:** How confidently you trace a single item through all 3 statements * **Reasoning out loud:** Whether you show the logic before landing on the answer * **Recovery:** How you work through a question you don't know, and whether your structure holds while you do it ### Recently asked questions Here are real, recent interview questions reported by candidates: * Why is it inappropriate to use a DCF or EV/EBITDA multiple to value a commercial bank? * In a DCF, which has a greater impact: a 10% change in WACC or a 10% change in revenue growth? * How would rising interest rates affect a DCF valuation? * Walk me through a DCF, and tell me which assumption you'd challenge first. * Walk me through how a $10 decrease in depreciation moves through the 3 statements. * Walk me through the components of a bank's balance sheet. * Walk me through unlevered free cash flow. * How does an acquisition funded entirely with debt affect EPS? * How would you value a conglomerate, and when would you apply a discount? ## IB case study Deutsche Bank's investment banking summer analyst case study is one of the 3 assessment center (Superday) interviews, and it's the only component where you work alone before presenting. You get 30 to 45 minutes with the materials, then present your recommendation and defend it in an extended discussion. Prompts vary by division. Fixed income and corporate bank cases can center on a lending or credit decision, while origination and advisory cases lean toward valuation and deal analysis. For a credit prompt, structure the recommendation around 3 questions: whether the company generates enough cash to cover interest and principal, what happens to that coverage in a downside case, and what protects the bank if the downside arrives. For a valuation prompt, lead with the number and the method you chose, then defend the assumptions that move it most. Lead with your answer either way, then work through the support. Interviewers look for: * **Recommendation clarity:** Whether you commit to a position early and hold it through questioning * **Structure under a clock:** How you organize an argument when preparation time runs short * **Credit judgment:** Your read on whether the company can service the financing under discussion * **Treatment of gaps:** How you state assumptions when the materials leave questions open * **Presentation control:** Whether you present at a pace an audience can follow and stop on time ### Recently asked questions Prompts center on whether Deutsche Bank should extend financing to a specific company, with middle-market corporate borrowers a common factor. You'll work from a materials pack during the preparation window, and the discussion afterward tests how far your reasoning holds once an interviewer changes an assumption. ## How to prepare for the Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst interview 1. **Learn the current strategy:** Deutsche Bank launched [Scaling the Global Hausbank](https://www.db.com/news/detail/20251117-scaling-the-global-hausbank-deutsche-bank-launches-new-phase-of-growth-and-value-creation) in November 2025 as its 2026 to 2028 plan, targeting return on tangible equity above 13% and revenues near €37 billion by 2028\. Name the plan and one target in your answer to show you've read past the careers page. 2. **Know where the money comes from:** The Investment Bank is Deutsche Bank's largest profit engine, and its second-quarter 2026 profit before tax rose 59% to €1.3 billion on record fixed income and currencies revenues. That balance explains why rates and credit questions dominate the technical rounds. 3. **Track the advisory rebuild:** Deutsche Bank has hired senior M\&A and financial institutions leadership from Citigroup, Bank of America, UBS, and Perella Weinberg, and it's steering bankers toward larger mandates, targeting deals above $500 million that carry fees above $3 million. This is the sharpest angle for ["Why Deutsche Bank?"](https://www.aced.io/blog/why-deutsche-bank-interview-question) because it connects your interest to a business the bank is actively expanding. 4. **Know the valuation gap and why it exists:** Deutsche Bank trades at roughly 0.8 times tangible book value, while JPMorgan trades above 3 times. Closing that gap is what the 13% return on tangible equity target is for, and being able to connect the multiple to the target is the single most useful thing you can carry into a "Why Deutsche Bank?" or markets question. 5. **Separate rate effects from growth effects:** Be ready to explain what a rate move does to a valuation when growth assumptions hold flat, since the follow-up usually asks you to isolate one variable. 6. **Build a sensitivity table before you interview:** Run a simple DCF and flex WACC and revenue growth by 10% each so you've seen the output gap yourself. Quote the size of the swing when you answer, since a percentage carries further than the reasoning on its own. 7. **Record yourself under real constraints:** Set a 2-minute timer, record once, and review the playback for pace and eye contact. Keep the timer running on every practice attempt so the recording window becomes the thing you're training for. 8. **Prepare one market view you can hold for 2 minutes:** Pick a transaction or a macro development, and be ready to explain why it matters to the bank's clients. Deutsche Bank was named the world's best FX bank at the 2025 Euromoney awards, so a currency or rates angle connects to a franchise the bank leads. 9. **Prepare a story for each of the 6 values:** Cover integrity, sustainable performance, client centricity, innovation, discipline, and partnership, and make sure you have enough distinct situations to avoid repeating yourself across a full day of interviews. 10. **Run a full loop with [mock interviews](https://www.aced.io/practice):** Practice back-to-back rounds so the assessment center format feels familiar, and use [expert coaching](https://www.aced.io/coaching) if you want a banker's read on your technical answers. ## About the Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst role Deutsche Bank places investment banking summer analysts across [2 divisions inside the Investment Bank](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/investment-banking-intro/what-is-investment-banking), and the one you join shapes the technical content of your interviews. Origination and advisory covers M\&A and capital markets work, while fixed income and currencies covers rates, credit, and foreign exchange. The Corporate Bank runs a separate summer analyst program with its own application window, and candidates often apply to both. US postings [tag roles by group](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/investment-banking-intro/product-vs-coverage-groups), so read the posting title closely before you prepare. Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analysts support: * **IBCM coverage:** Sector and country teams, building materials and running comparable company analysis for live client dialogue * **IBCM capital markets:** Equity and debt origination teams, supporting issuance execution and market updates * **Fixed income and currencies:** Rates, credit, and currency desks, supporting financing analysis and client materials * **Commercial real estate:** Property financing and securitization teams, supporting underwriting work * **Company research:** Equity research coverage, supporting models and published notes The program runs 10 weeks and is rotational, opening with about a week of training before you move to a desk. Return offers are extended at the end of the program, and your desk assignment shapes both the work you do and who evaluates you for one. Your division also sets your technical preparation: | Division | Technical focus | | ----- | ----- | | Origination and advisory | Valuation, M\&A, three-statement work | | Fixed income and currencies | Markets, macro, rates, products | | Corporate bank | Transaction banking, credit | ### Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst requirements Deutsche Bank recruits summer analysts from undergraduates entering their final year, or first-year Master's students, graduating in 2028 for the 2027 program. No prior banking experience is required, and valuation fluency is expected to come from coursework, societies, and self-study. London fixed income and IBCM roles carry an additional requirement: an A in A-Level Maths. Check the posting for your region and division before you apply, since eligibility criteria differ across both. Insight programs feed the summer class and run earlier in your degree. Spring into Banking is the London program for first-year and second-year students, with a 2027 window running 2 November to 8 November 2026\. Develop with Deutsche Bank is the US investment banking program for sophomores, and its window ran 5 October to 4 November 2026\. Both close before the summer analyst windows open, so a first-year or sophomore applying to the summer analyst cycle has usually missed the earlier entry point by a year. ## Additional resources * [Investment Banking Interview Course](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking) * ["Why Deutsche Bank?" Deutsche Bank uses a recorded video interview for candidates in the UK and APAC, and candidates in the US move to a live virtual interview with the hiring division instead. Deutsche Bank doesn't name the platform, and its other online assessments run on SHL. Expect roughly 2 minutes to prepare and 2 minutes to record each response, with one attempt per question and no re-records. ### How many rounds does the Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst interview have? The Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst process runs 4 stages: an application, online assessments, a video or first-round interview, and a final assessment day. That final day is called an assessment center in the UK and APAC and a Superday in the US, and it holds 3 interviews of its own covering competency, technicals, and a case study, so you'll have more conversations than the stage count suggests. ### Is there a situational judgment test in the Deutsche Bank application? Deutsche Bank includes a situational judgment test in every region except the US and India. It sits alongside a behavioral questionnaire and ability tests covering numerical, verbal, and logical reasoning. Candidates in the US move straight to the behavioral and ability assessments. ### What technical questions does Deutsche Bank ask investment banking summer analysts? Deutsche Bank's technical questions cover valuation, accounting, and interest rate sensitivity. Expect questions on why a DCF or an EV/EBITDA multiple doesn't work for a commercial bank, and on how rising interest rates change a DCF valuation. Standard walk-throughs and three-statement questions appear alongside these conceptual questions. ### What does Deutsche Bank look for in investment banking summer analysts? Deutsche Bank scores summer analyst candidates against 6 values: integrity, sustainable performance, client centricity, innovation, discipline, and partnership. The technical rounds add valuation judgment, specifically whether you can explain where a method stops working and which input drives a valuation output. Commercial awareness runs through both, so expect at least one question on markets or a recent transaction. ### How long does the Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst interview process take? The Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst process takes about 3 weeks from application to offer in the US and 1 to 3 months in the UK. Allow roughly 6 weeks between your application and your first interview invitation, which is Deutsche Bank's own guidance. Outcomes from the assessment center typically arrive within a week, and candidates who receive an offer get 2 weeks to decide. ### When should you apply for a Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst role? Deutsche Bank opens summer analyst applications about a year before the internship starts, with US coverage windows opening in late July and London windows in early September. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so submit within the first days of a window opening rather than working toward the posted deadline. A 2027 internship means applying during the 2026 academic year. ### How much does a Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analyst make? Deutsche Bank investment banking summer analysts in New York earn a [base of $110,000 annualized](https://www.aced.io/courses/investment-banking/investment-banking-intro/compensation-exits-expectations) for the 2027 program, and pay is prorated from that base: roughly $2,115 a week before tax, or about $21,150 across the 10-week internship. That figure is disclosed in Deutsche Bank's own US job postings, and it rose from $100,000 for the 2026 program. Interns aren't eligible for incentive compensation, and pay for London and other hubs isn't publicly disclosed.
