### Meta — Machine Learning Engineer, Senior / L5

[Read the Meta interview experience](https://www.aced.io/experiences/meta-facebook-senior-machine-learning-engineer-interview-8719a7)

Reported 9 months ago. The candidate described a second attempt at the same Meta MLE process. Compared with the prior year, the process included a written portal pre-screen and a new AI-enabled coding round. After a sourcer’s email, the candidate completed a questionnaire and then a 45-minute coding screen containing two LeetCode-style questions. The full loop was split across four days: coding, AI-enabled debugging/coding, behavioral, and an ML design round involving a TikTok-style recommendation system. The candidate found the coding standard for Meta; the AI round required debugging an unfamiliar codebase, running tests intelligently, and using an LLM without blindly trusting it.

### Anthropic — Software Engineer, Staff / L6

[Read the Anthropic interview experience](https://www.aced.io/experiences/anthropic-staff-software-engineer-interview-9bfb57)

Reported a year ago. The candidate completed a recruiter screen and coding phone screen. After passing, hiring paused for the team; a different recruiter later resumed the process with a virtual onsite. The onsite included coding, system design, hiring manager, culture, and a one-person technical presentation rounds. The candidate said the question bank was small enough to anticipate the types of questions, but this was one of their first loops and they felt insufficiently prepared. They came close but did not receive an offer, assessing that system design was the most damaging round.
