## How to write an Adobe Data Scientist resume

### 1. Keep it to one page

Recruiters skim quickly, so keep the strongest material visible. Trim older or less relevant entries before shrinking font or margins. **70% of the 10 resumes** read in full are one page.

### 2. Lead with education while you are in school

Put the school, degree, and graduation date at the top while you are in school. Once internships communicate more than coursework, move experience above education. **100% of the 9 resumes** whose sections were readable put education before experience.

### 3. Count internships, research, and projects as experience

Internships, co-ops, research, and teaching-assistant roles count as experience. If you do not have them, use a projects section to show what you built, the tools used, and the result. **80%** of the 10 full-read resumes list at least one internship or co-op; a typical resume lists **3 roles**; **70%** have a projects section.

### 4. Put a number in your bullet points

Open each bullet with what you did and close with the result. Figures such as users, revenue, latency, accuracy, or hours saved make results concrete. A typical resume has **18 bullet points**, and **48%** carry a figure.

### 5. List your GPA if it helps you

Include a GPA if it is competitive; otherwise let coursework and projects carry the education section. **50%** of the 10 resumes list a GPA on a 4.0 scale, and those GPAs average **3.84**.

### 6. Name specific skills and tools

List languages, frameworks, and tools you have actually used, grouped by type and using the job description's terminology. The most-listed skills are Data Entry (**60%**), Android (**50%**), Binary Analysis (**30%**), C++ Programming (**30%**), and Data Science (**30%**). A typical resume lists **25 skills**.
